It also slows the door opening if the wind catches the door or if your Ranger is parked on an up slope. This makes it much less likely that the door will be pulled out of your hand. You no longer have to hold the door open to keep it from hitting your legs when getting in or out of your Ranger or worry about which direction to face your Ranger when opening the doors on a windy day.
